Nature Tours

Natural Tours are organized by Nature Vancouver and are primarily intended for members although members of other clubs affiliated with the Federation of British Columbia Naturalists (BC Nature) are welcome to participate. All of the trips and tours are accompanied by one or more naturalists well versed in the natural history of the destination. In the past we have organized Nature Tours to far away places such as Alberta, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Alaska Hwy and Queen Charlotte Islands.

2006 - Natural History Tour to Hawaii
Twelve members of Nature Vancouver spent two weeks in Hawaii, one week on the island of Hawaii (the Big Island) and one on Kauai, enjoying some of the biological and geological wonders of the most isolated archipelago on the planet. A pdf copy of the trip report by leader, Bruce Bohm, published in the June, 2006 issue of Vancouver Naturalist is avaialbe here.

2011 - Nebraska: Sandhill Cranes and Prairie Grouse
Rick Wright will led this birding tour to Nebraska from March 20 to 25, 2011. A pdf of the trip report is available here.

For more information and suggestions for future trips please contact Jude Grass.
