Nature Vancouver

Starting today the Nature Vancouver Website has a new look created by Murat Gungora, a new member, who volunteered his time and expertise. Thank You, Murat.   The website is best viewed at 1280 X 800 resolution display. If your computer monitor has a resolution less than that, then you will have to scroll from left to right to see the whole page.   The new look features a set of three nature photos drawn from an album of 29 photos. I plan to add more photos to this album from the Nature Vancouver photo collection. The photos are displayed randomly so that every time you click on the home page you will see a different set of photos. All the photos, the titles and the names of photographers can also be seen in the Random Images album of the Photo Gallery.   Listed on the home page just below the photos are General Announcements that are posted on the Members’ Forum from time to time.   Just below that you will see a list of 5 Upcoming Events. This will cover the Thursday Evening programs and weekend field trips.   The latest items posted on the Members’ Forum are listed next. We also have the news feeds from David Suzuki Foundation and BC Ministry of Environment.   I hope you will like the new look and start visiting the website more often. In fact why not make it your home page in your internet browser!   You can post your comments on the Members’ Forum. For that you will have to log in. I am afraid many members and some Directors have not learned how to do that yet. Go to Home Page, click on “Request New Password” in the left hand column and enter your e-mail address. You will get an e-mail from the website giving you the instructions to log in.   Have fun!   Kelly
