Take a morning birding walk with Cathy Aitchison along the trails at the southwest end of Burnaby Lake. This is an easy walk through the shrubby lakeside vegetation, opening out in places for views of the lake. The large population of Wood Ducks should be in evidence as well as other waterfowl and many nesting Tree Swallows, warblers, vireos, and other spring arrivals. Meet Cathy in the parking lot next to the Burnaby Lake Field Hut at the corner of Sprott Street and Sperling Avenue at 0800. Contact Cathy at 604-685-7460.
