A 6 km nature walk along board walks and well-groomed trails along the shoreline of Port Moody Inlet where a number of Municipal parks have been consolidated into Shoreline Park (also known as the Port Moody Nature Park). The trail will lead you through coniferous forests, open meadows, wetlands and mixed deciduous forests to a sandy beach. The tide will be low allowing examination of intertidal & mudflat habitats. Bring lunch, water and binoculars. Some points of interest will be First Nations middens and Pacific crabapple thickets with their associated avian fauna. Learn what a clam show is and hear about the peculiar habits of the band-tailed pigeons.

Meet in the parking area at the corner of Kamloops St and Franklin St, Vancouver at 09:00 am for car pooling or alternatively meet at 10:00 am in the parking area of Rocky Point Park, east of the Port Moody Museum, 2734 Murray St., Port Moody.
