A strenuous hike on the Tikwalus Hertiage Trail, formerly called the First Bridgade Trail in the Fraser Canyon. This trail has recently been restored by the Hope Mountain Centre in collaboration with the Spuzzum First Nation and several other partners. Bring lunch, sunscreen, lots of water, and dress for the elements. Meet at Franklin and Penticton at 7:00 am. PLEASE NOTE: This is a steep trail, 13 km return, with an elevation gain of 760 metres, and an average grade of more than 15 percent. We don't intend to rush but you'll need to be in good condition to do this hike; good boots are essential and poles are recommended. Difficulty rating: D7. Trip leaders: Daphne Nagorsen (778-230-8007) and Nellie Bacou.
