Nature Vancouver

The main focus of the meeting will be to talk about upcoming Christmas Bird Counts with emphasis on the Vancouver Count on Sunday December 16. Count organizers will review the areas to be covered and recruiting new volunteers to assist with the count.  Count participants do not have to be experienced birders.  Beginners are welcome as you can assist by driving, being a spotter or a recorder.  If you are interested, and have not participated in the past please contact Adrian at 604-263-7957 so you can be assigned to an area. Area Leader Kits will be available at Birder’s Night.

There will also be an education feature on identifying winter birds that will be seen on the count.

Details on other local counts such as Ladner and White Rock will also be presented.
